Ever wonder which of our princesses get the most invites to birthday parties here in the twin cities? Well wonder no more! Here are our list of the top five characters booked so far this year!
Who would you book for your next party? Would you pick one of the top five princesses or would you choose one of our less booked princesses?
It may be hard to understand why our performers love receiving party pictures after they have attended a party, so I thought I would share a bit on why we love them!
When our princesses go to parties, they are instantly best friends with the children at the party! The kids eagerly share every detail about their day, week, and life with our princess who smiles and nods at their oversharing. Just as those moments are memorable to you as a parent, they are memorable to our performers as well!
When we ask a child to make a pixie wish and we can see that she is wishing as hard as she possibly can, it warms our hearts! We love seeing the excitement on children's faces when they are hearing a story or doing a sing-a-long. So when we get pictures that capture the moment, we get to remember why we do what we do!
Also, sometimes our performers go to really fun parties (even for them!) and they like to look back and smile!
Or sometimes they like to look back and laugh!
When our performers go home and hang up our gowns, we can remember birthday parties that we were able to help make magical. And honestly, there's no better feeling!
Princessities had the joy to be a part of the HopeKids fundraiser at Brandtjen Farm in Lakeville, Minnesota. It was the 9th year in a row that they have hosted this event and it was a ball!
Even though it was in the 90s, Snow White was able to meet several families at the race who were either running, supporting a runner, or just there to support the cause! There was a clown, face painting, a rock wall, a strong man course, and even Goldy the Gopher was there! He was eager to meet the princess as well!
Snow White had the best time exploring all the fun activities and making new friends! But most importantly she was excited to support such a wonderful cause that Hopekids stands for! Thank you for letting her be a part of the special day!
One question we often get is what does "Princessities Princess Party" mean?
And what is a princessity?
Is that even a real word?
I have come to set the record straight and explain exactly what a princessity is! Essentially it is a play on the word "necessity," making a "princessity" anything that is necessary for a princess to have. When the company was first started, I wanted something that was fun and memorable (like our parties are)
So I remembered care package my mom and sent me in college of food and other cute things that she entitled "princessities," because these were what she saw as the necessities for her little princess. Because every little girl is forever her mother's little princess.
From there I decided to come up with what I thought to be the main things that a little girl needs to be a princess. Here is the list of four that I came up with:
#1 : Joy
Very rarely does someone think of a princess as pouty or angry. (While every princess can have those moments) a true princess is a joy to those around her!
Whether it's a dream to see the floating lights, go beyond the castle walls, or to meet their prince charming. Every princess needs dreams to aspire to and ambitions to get there! We encourage all little princesses and even our performers to chase their dreams!
#3 : Courage
Facing fears can be scary, but a true princess can overcome step-mothers, dragons, and even their own self doubts to face all obstacles with great courage.
#4 : Friendship
No princess should ever have to face her dragons alone! Whether it's some woodland creatures, 7 dwarfs, a fairy godmother, or a snowman, every princess needs someone to share her journey with!
With these four things, a little princess can begin to take on the world!
